General Body Imaging

Our radiologists are highly experienced and fellowship-trained at many of the nation’s top medical institutions.  As primary radiologists at the top medical institution in Houston, we work side-by-side with our clinicians to serve the Houston community as well as referrals from other cities or countries.

The general body imagers provide image interpretation for all routine chest, abdomen, pelvic and skeletal studies.  Some of the specialized procedures include

  • Non-Invasive Arteriography of the body such as CT Angiogram, MR Angiogram and Doppler Ultrasound- These procedures provide a detailed assessment of blood vessels of various body parts, often replacing the need for invasive catheter-based arteriograms.
  • Lung cancer screening - We work with the Houston Methodist Lung Cancer Screening Program. Our protocol is low dose for patient safety.

  • High Resolution CT of the Chest – our dedicated protocols using thin section CT at high resolution provide a detailed analysis of the lung anatomy for assessment of interstitial lung disease. We work closely with the Houston Methodist Lung transplant service, providing pre- and post-transplant imaging for patients with lung fibrosis.
  • Cancer imaging - We participate in weekly tumor board rounds with various oncology service teams to provide the highest level of patient care to our cancer patients.
  • Transplant imaging - We work closely with the various transplant teams at Houston Methodist, including actively participation in weekly imaging rounds with provider physicians to bring the highest level of care to our transplant patients. The service teams include:
    • Lung Transplant
    • Heart Tranplant
    • Liver Transplant
    • Kidney Transplant
    • Pancreas Transplant
    • Bone Marrow Transplant
  • Gastrointestinal Imaging with CT enterography and MRI enterography - High spatial resolution studies and most up-to-date imaging protocols are used to examine the gastrointestinal tract for a wide range of diseases such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and gastrointestinal tumors.
